A School for the Art of Dance

Caroline Flanagan
Children’s Instructor
Caroline Flanagan is a North Carolina native and proud alumna of Triangle Academy of
Dance, where she received extensive training in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Acro, and
Contemporary dance. During her years at TAD, Caroline was also a member of the studio’s Tap
and Jazz Teams.
A 2023 graduate of TAD, Caroline performed extensively with Carolina Youth Ballet in
numerous classical ballet productions. Among her most memorable roles were the Sugar Plum
Fairy in The Nutcracker and the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella.
Following graduation, Caroline earned a trainee position with Carolina Ballet, where she
performed in full-length productions of The Nutcracker. She also had the extraordinary
opportunity to perform with American Ballet Theatre in its production of Giselle.
Caroline is currently pursuing Pre-Med studies, which complement her work as a dance educator
by expanding her knowledge of the human body, anatomy, physical development, and healthy
movement. This growing understanding helps her approach dance training with an added
awareness of proper alignment, coordination, strength, and safe movement habits—particularly
important when building a strong foundation in young dancers.
As a member of the TAD faculty, Caroline works primarily with our young children’s program.
Having grown from a young TAD student into an accomplished dancer and teacher, she
especially enjoys sharing her love of dance with the next generation. Caroline is passionate about
helping each child build confidence, develop strong foundational technique, and discover the joy
of dance in a positive, nurturing, and supportive environment.
