2007 Nutcracker Performances Information

Saturday, Nov. 17
Matinee Performance: 1 pm
Evening Performance: 5 pm

Where: A.J Fletcher Auditorium, downtown Raleigh.

  • CYB will have both performances videoed and on sale.
  • No cameras of any kind will be allowed into the auditorium!

Same rules apply from the Dress Rehearsal. Dancers should arrive fed, with their make-up and hair ready, and with their camisole leotards and tights on under their street clothes. Please bring a non-messy snack and water bottle, and your extra dance and hair/make-up supplies. See “Dancer’s Bag” list to the right.

Remember, all dancers are to enter through the breezeway, at the back of A.J Fletcher Theater.

Only parents, who have signed up to volunteer for a group or assigned position, will be allowed into the dressing rooms, and/or backstage.

Matinee Show- Check-in at 12:00, all dancers in Act I & II for the 1:00 pm Show.

(Dancers may stay between shows, however, if parents wish to retrieve their child after the first show which ends at 3pm, then the child must change into street clothes, so they would be able to be picked up at 3:15pm at the check-in table and then they must be back at 4pm to prepare for the 5pm show.  Please remember to collect and return your child downstairs at the "Check-In table", and please do not feed your child candy in between shows.  They have enough energy backstage!!)

Evening Show- Check-in at 4 pm, all dancers in Act I & II for the 5:00 pm Show.

From 4-5pm dancers will freshen-up, take a bathroom break, re-dress and warm-up for the next show.

**Please remember to send your child to the theater in full street clothes (nice clothes, please!).

**Dancers will NOT appear in the lobby in costume!!

**No child is allowed to leave the dressing room without adult supervision.  We hope you appreciate these security measures, to keep all the children safe and accounted for at all times.  The theater can be a dangerous place, with heavy equipment being constantly moved, and the public entering and exiting the building, etc.!

**The Progress Energy Center will have security guards at all exits, and I will have parent security guards around too!

Emergency Contact Number for Nov 16th & 17th.

Please leave a message on Miss Annette’s Cell Phone: 368-9999.

Messages will be checked periodically during the day.

This is to be used for true emergencies only! (i.e.- child sick on the day.)

*Do not use this number for ticket information. Any unsold tickets, will be on sale 30 minutes prior to each show, in the lobby of the A.J Fletcher Auditorium by our CYB parent volunteers. (Not at the Progress Energy ticket office).

Directions to the theater-Please go to MapQuest, or print them off our web site.

Keep in mind the Raleigh Christmas Parade will be going on Saturday morning, November 17th, and ends at 11:30 am one or two streets up from the theater.  Be sure to leave your home early to allow for any congestion or traffic!!
